With our continued growth and mission focus, we are looking to add a Retired Law Enforcement Armed Security Guard to our team for a real estate development and investment firm located in Times Square, New York City.

Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable and professional retired law enforcement officer professional with extensive security experience to provide security at a real estate development and investment firm in Times Square. The ideal candidate will help maintain a safe and secure environment for tenants, employees, visitors, and property while monitoring activity, responding to incidents, and following established security procedures.

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 3PM -11PM (could be full-time, or part-time, 2-3 shifts)

Essential Job Duties

• Monitor assigned patrol areas and designated perimeters to maintain a safe and secure environment.
• Observe, document, and report suspicious activity, security concerns, and breaches in accordance with established procedures.
• Evaluate and respond to alerts or incidents in the surrounding area professionally and in accordance with company protocols.
• Notify the Supervisor on Duty when situations require escalation.
• Assist fellow security officers with de-escalation when appropriate and in accordance with company procedures.
• Follow established procedures for fire prevention, property patrol, and incident reporting.
• Maintain a professional and respectful presence while ensuring the safety and security of the building, tenants, visitors, and property.
• Accurately record scheduled shifts using the company scheduling platform, including clock-ins and clock-outs.
• Adhere to all company policies, service expectations, and operating standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

• Must be a retired law enforcement officer
• Valid New York State Security Armed Guard License.
• Must possess a valid New York State concealed carry permit.
• Minimum of five years of security guard experience
• Completion of the NYS-required 16-hour On-the-Job Training (OJT) course.
• Valid CPR/AED certification preferred.
• Strong observational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and respond professionally to security incidents.
• Exceptional work ethic, reliability, and professionalism.

The expected hiring rate for this position is $42.00 per hour.
