  • Lancaster, PA

Job Description

Company Description The Finance Shop, LLC is the financing partner behind Ticket To Ride Auto Sales, helping hardworking people secure reliable transportation when traditional financing may not be an option. We believe that everyone deserves a fair opportunity to own a dependable vehicle and rebuild their financial future.

Our financing is designed with the customer in mind. We offer simple-interest auto loans, flexible payment options, and a streamlined approval process focused on your ability to succeed—not just your credit score. As an independent finance company, we take the time to understand each customer's individual circumstances and work to find solutions that fit their budget.

More than simply providing financing, we're committed to helping our customers establish positive payment history by reporting to the major credit bureaus. Our goal is to help people not only get back on the road, but also move forward financially.

Backed by over 25 years of experience serving the Lancaster community, The Finance Shop is dedicated to responsible lending, exceptional customer service, and building long-term relationships based on trust, transparency, and respect.

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Collector role based in Lancaster, PA. The Collector is responsible for managing customer accounts, including monitoring payment status, making outbound collection calls, and following up on past-due balances in a professional and respectful manner. Daily tasks include contacting customers to arrange payment plans, documenting all interactions in the account system, and working with internal teams to resolve billing or contract issues. The role also involves negotiating payment arrangements within company guidelines, verifying customer information, and escalating complex cases when necessary. The Collector is expected to maintain compliance with all applicable laws and company policies while supporting a positive customer experience.

Qualifications

  • Experience in collections, accounts receivable, or customer account management, preferably in automotive, retail finance, or related industries.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to handle difficult conversations in a calm, professional, and respectful manner.
  • Basic proficiency with computer systems and office software (e.g., CRM platforms, billing systems, spreadsheets, and email).
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills, including accurate documentation and follow-up on multiple accounts.
  • Knowledge of or willingness to learn relevant collection practices, regulations, and privacy requirements.
  • Ability to work on-site full-time in Lancaster, PA, and collaborate effectively with sales, finance, and management teams.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in finance, business, or customer service is a plus.
  • Prior bilingual experience (e.g., English and Spanish) is beneficial but not required.

Benefits

We believe in taking care of our team. Full-time employees become eligible for a comprehensive benefits package upon successful completion of their introductory probationary period, including:

  • Health Insurance
  • Dental Insurance
  • Vision Insurance
  • Life Insurance
  • 401(k) Retirement Plan
  • Paid Time Off (PTO)

We're committed to creating a workplace where employees can build long-term careers while enjoying competitive benefits, opportunities for professional growth, and a supportive team environment.
