Employees are encouraged to contribute ideas, take ownership of their work, and play an active role in the company’s continued growth and success.

Position Summary

Acela Truck Company is seeking an organized, creative, and motivated Marketing Coordinator to support the day-to-day execution of the company’s marketing initiatives. Working directly with the Marketing Manager, this entry-level position will assist with content creation, social media, email marketing, marketing materials, trade shows, digital marketing, and performance tracking.

The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, eager to learn, and comfortable balancing creative work with the organization and follow-through needed to manage multiple projects. This role offers hands-on experience promoting specialized vehicles, products, and capabilities within the commercial truck, military vehicle, and related industries.

Key Responsibilities

Content Creation & Social Media

  • Assist with planning, creating, scheduling, and publishing content across Acela Truck Company’s social media channels.
  • Capture and edit photos and videos of vehicles, builds, testing, production activities, customer projects, trade shows, and company events.
  • Create short-form videos, graphics, captions, and other digital content to support brand awareness and audience engagement.
  • Maintain the social media content calendar and identify relevant trends, topics, and content opportunities.
  • Monitor social media activity, including comments, messages, tags, and mentions, and escalate inquiries when appropriate.
  • Gather and organize content from customers, dealers, partners, events, and internal team members.
  • Assist with drafting social media copy and other marketing content in accordance with brand guidelines and Marketing Manager direction.
  • Help maintain a consistent brand voice and visual identity across marketing channels.

Digital Marketing & Communications

  • Build, format, schedule, and distribute email newsletters and marketing campaigns using approved content.
  • Assist with researching, drafting, formatting, and publishing blog posts, website updates, and other digital content.
  • Support basic search engine optimization (SEO), including keyword research, metadata, image optimization, and content formatting.
  • Help maintain accurate and current website content, images, and marketing resources.
  • Organize and maintain the company’s digital asset library, including photos, videos, graphics, logos, and marketing documents.
  • Collect and track performance data for social media, email campaigns, website content, and other marketing activities.
  • Assist with preparing basic marketing reports and identifying opportunities to improve content performance and audience engagement.

Marketing Materials & Creative Support

  • Assist with creating and updating brochures, product specification sheets, flyers, presentations, social media graphics, signage, and other marketing materials.
  • Resize, format, and adapt existing creative assets for different platforms and applications.
  • Ensure marketing materials are accurate, professional, consistent with brand standards, and up to date.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to gather product information, photos, specifications, and other content needed for marketing projects.
  • Assist with print production, promotional items, and other creative projects.
  • Maintain organized files and current marketing and sales materials.

Trade Shows, Events & Sales Support

  • Support marketing activities for trade shows, conferences, vehicle demonstrations, customer visits, and other company events.
  • Help coordinate event deadlines, marketing materials, signage, promotional items, and related logistics.
  • Assist with pre-event promotion, on-site content capture, and post-event marketing.
  • Photograph and record video of vehicles, displays, demonstrations, and other event activities as needed.
  • Support routine requests from sales, dealers, customers, and partners for approved marketing resources.
  • Help identify vehicle builds, customer projects, product applications, and company milestones that may provide marketing opportunities.
  • Assist with maintaining current sales collateral and resources that support sales and business development.

Marketing Coordination & Administration

  • Maintain marketing calendars, project trackers, campaign schedules, content libraries, and other internal resources.
  • Track project deadlines, communicate progress, and follow up with team members to obtain information and assets needed to complete assignments.
  • Research industry trends, competitors, publications, customer markets, and potential marketing opportunities.
  • Coordinate with the Marketing Manager and other departments to support marketing priorities and company initiatives.
  • Maintain organized records of completed projects, campaign results, and marketing activities.
  • Provide general marketing and administrative support as priorities evolve.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, digital media, or a related field preferred. Equivalent education, training, or relevant experience will also be considered.
  • Zero to two years of experience in marketing, communications, social media, content creation, or a related field.
  • Relevant internships, coursework, freelance projects, volunteer work, and personal content-creation projects may be considered in place of professional experience.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong organizational, time-management, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
  • Familiarity with major social media platforms and digital content formats.
  • Basic experience with photography, video editing, graphic design, or other visual content tools.
  • Ability to write clear, engaging content and adapt messaging for different platforms and audiences.
  • Comfortable learning new software, marketing platforms, products, and industry-specific terminology.
  • Ability to take direction, accept feedback, work collaboratively, and follow projects through completion.
  • Strong initiative, reliability, and willingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities.
  • Ability to work in office, production, and vehicle manufacturing environments as needed for content gathering and company activities.

Helpful Experience, But Not Required

Experience with any of the following is a plus:

  • Short-form video creation and editing.
  • Photography, graphic design, and visual storytelling.
  • Social media scheduling and publishing platforms.
  • Email marketing platforms and campaign development.
  • Website content management systems and basic SEO.
  • Marketing analytics, reporting, and performance tracking.
  • Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, or similar creative tools.
  • Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, or project management software.

Training will be provided for the specific tools, systems, products, and processes used at Acela Truck Company.

An interest in trucks, automotive, commercial vehicles, military vehicles, fire and emergency services, off-road vehicles, manufacturing, or related industries is beneficial. Prior industry or product knowledge is not required.

Growth Opportunity

This position will initially focus on marketing execution, content production, and coordination under the direction of the Marketing Manager. As product knowledge, industry familiarity, and marketing experience develop, the Marketing Coordinator will have opportunities to take greater ownership of content creation, marketing campaigns, product education, event coordination, customer stories, and other marketing initiatives.

The goal is to develop a capable marketing team member who can take increasing responsibility for projects, contribute creative ideas, and help strengthen Acela Truck Company’s brand presence and support its continued growth.
